Just had our photoshoot this week.
Signed up for BB back in Jan. Was worried at first cos it was an on the spot decision with my MHA ( Minister of Home Affairs aka Wife) and BB was the first studio we sat down at the bridal fair.
Fast forward to June and we were on our way to Taipei. Was worried cos Taoyuan was flooded just a week ago and my Taiwanese friend was keeping us updated about the rainy weather. Our flight was delayed and my luggage was damaged by the airport staff who cut my TSA lock along with the TSA luggage slot. This meant we were in the wrong state of mind when we finally checked in at 11pm "(
However, everything went smoothly for our preshoot meet up with the BB staff. Gown selection went great, though the tailor was crazy about keeping the gowns tight and fitting. My wife was complaining about how difficult it was to breath. Fortunately, adjustments was fast and immediate. There is an extra charge if you choose special fittings for the suits, but it's quite reasonable for NTD1000 for 2 pieces.
For the actual shoot, we had Dolby for our photographer, Ah Hsien for videography, MUA is Jia Ning and lighting Ah Wei, who was super funny and joked constantly during the shoot to lighten the mood.
The weather was fortunately bright and sunny for our shoot. Except for the heat (can't be helped cos it's summer). Jia Ning was super, my wife is extremely happy about the 5 different styles she received which complemented each outfit perfectly ^^ Alas, there were some new regulations in Taiwan which severely restricted the aerial videography which we were supposed to have ㅠㅜ
Between the professionalism of Dolby and the jokes of Ah Wei, as well as the attentiveness from Jia Ning, the shoot went smoothly, and the wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much despite the heat ^^
Subsequently, we went back 3 days later to meet Anne to review the photos. My wife looks absolutely fabulous but sadly, my gut, butt and double chin got in the way for some photos. She would be absolutely fabulous while I look like a slob, all in the same picture ㅠㅜ. What I liked was that though there's some salesmanship on their part, there was no hard sell to get us to buy every photo ^^ Costs are transparent and BB are always upfront with costs and fees. My wife was very happy with the pics and we had a hard time choosing. In the end, we spent 4 hours choosing, settling at the end for 56 pics (which we had payed for at the start) and bought an extra 35 (softcopies in CD). During this exhausting process, the staff was polite and patient, even buying us bubble tea and dinner so we are comfortable and not feel rushed at all.
Overall, the professionalism and service levels met and in some places exceeded our expectations and we would just like to thank BlueBay and staff very much for turning what could be an frustrating experience (we saw other crews/couples at the photoshoot venue who had a tougher time of it) into an interesting and enjoyable one for us ^^
I'll definitely recommend BlueBay for any couple considering an overseas shoot ^^
Feel free to PM me for details ^^
